Manukau Institute of Technology is a leader in technical & vocational education, delivering a range of academic qualifications from certificate to degree level.  We work together to make learning more accessible by providing opportunities for study in the Mangere East community. 


Ohomairangi Trust

Ohomairangi Trust was established in 2001. 
For every parent living in Aotearoa, New Zealand to value their & their children's potential, is the vision of Ohomairangi.  The community-based services Ohomairangi provide in South Auckland focus on ensuring parents seeking help receive high quality parenting support.  


In 2014 Ohomairangi provided support for 150 parents & their children who attended the community-based Parenting Programmes. In the same time period, the Ohomairangi Trust Early Intervention service supported 120 children with special needs & their whanau.  

Ohomairangi have a dedicated team of professionals who bring their skills & expertise in a wide range of disciplines, with a commitment to providing evidence-based services & modelling strengths-based practice.

As a charitable trust, Ohomairangi is generously supported by funding partners & individual donors.  


Pars 

For families/whānau of prisoners, there is often little support many struggle to visit loved ones as often as they would like. We believe continued whānau relationships are vital to wellbeing and to positive re-integration following release. (PARS website)

Through these common values, the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board & Auckland Council support the work that we do in the community in many ways including providing facilities & support for community events.

Our shared vision is that refugees and migrants have the opportunity to learn English, to pursue aspirations for themselves and their families, and to participate in all aspects of life in Aotearoa New Zealand. We aim to provide English language skills and social support for effective resettlement of refugees and migrants in Aotearoa New Zealand.
