Alcohol in our community

As a community we are well aware of the detrimental impact that the proliferation of liquor outlets has on our community of Mangere East.

There are currently 11 active liquor licenses in Mangere East, and many have expressed their concern calling for a reduction in the number of stores as well as restrictions on proximity to schools. There are 9 major schools in Mangere East and 6 have an alcohol store either very close by or directly outside.
